9. Winter increases your appetite.
When the days get darker and have less light, our bodies biologically crave more food. The lack of light prompts us to seek more food and eat it faster.
In one study researchers closely tracked how much people ate from season to season and how quickly they ate it. Turns out, the study subjects consumed about 200 more calories a day beginning in the fall when the days grow darker.
That’s way more clever than I was exgictenp. Thanks!
Well I guess I don’t have to spend the weekend fiuigrng this one out!
Thta’s going to make things a lot easier from here on out.
It is interesting to note also that the numbers keep getting revised downward – 2Q 2011 numbers are not as good as first reported. And QE3 is looming . . . yikes.Yet my world (higher education philanthropy) seems to be doing really well and I am engaged daily with very optimistic people. Anecdotal, I know – but the optimism is infectious. Sometimes difficult to reconcile the ‘bad news’ with the outpouring of generosity that I see daily.
