Who collected ”Archie” comic books growing up in the 60’s and 70’s? The initial Archie characters (Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones, and Betty Cooper) first appeared in Pep Comics #22 (cover-dated Dec. 1941). But who didn’t love the rest of the gang that eventually joined the bunch: Veronica Lodge, Sabrina Spellman, and Josie and the Pussycats? All the Archie characters have spun other projects over the years. They have appeared in numerous films, television programs, cartoons, and video games, with the latest being the hit 2017 television drama series Riverdale.
