John Adams and Thomas Jefferson Died On The Same Day.
Friends at first, adversaries in adulthood and finally, friends at the end – these two American revolutionaries died on the exact same day, five hours apart. Wild, right? Even wilder was the date of death – July 4th, 1826. The last two signers of the Declaration of Independence alive both left this Earth just hours apart. Jefferson was Adams’ vice president and then succeeded him in office in 1800. The two differed greatly over states’ rights and government involvement, but in the waning years of their lives they put aside their differences and maintained a friendship.
