The 7 Rays On The Statue Of Liberties Crown Represent The 7 Continents Of Earth.
To reach the crown of the Statue of Liberty, visitors must climb 354 steps or roughly 20 floors. Once up there, a beautiful view of New York Harbor is available. On top of that crown sits seven rays, expanding outward. The National Park Service says these seven rays represent the seven continents. However, the official librarian of the park where the Statue of Liberty stands says that is not true and that the National Park Service website needs to be changed. Hmmm, drama.
