22. Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam, along with a handful of other ‘90s grunge bands, helped to define an entire genre of music. Not only did they branch from their rock roots into something more counterculture and unique, but they honed in their sound to create something totally modern.
A few of their better-known songs are tunes like Black, Yellow Ledbetter, Better Man, and Jeremy. In its entirety, their first album Ten had so many unbelievably good songs. Anyways, you can’t have a list of the greatest rock bands without Pearl Jam.
