After a decade or two of what the world had come to know as “rock” became more defined, bands began to get a little more complex with their song structure. Enter Rush. The band, beginning what has come to be called “progressive rock,” added complex song structures to rock riffs and melodies.
This, in conjunction with the vocalist’s distinct vocals, yielded an ineffable band by the name of Rush. The band is considered one of the greatest of all time, possessing 24 gold albums, 14 platinum albums, and 3 multiplatinum albums. While the drummer Neil Peart recently passed away, the band will continue to live on.
