Bohemian Grove, United States
This is the ultimate playground for boys. In Monte Rio, California is a 2,700-acre exclusive campground. Every single July, the Grove hosts a bacchanalian blowout for the world’s VIPs that lasts two weeks. The event caters to business leaders, government members (including U.S. presidents), musicians and artists. There is no business talk at the event, though, since they’re all told “Weaving Spiders Come Not Here” before they arrive. There are rumors that the Bohemian Grove was the host of a planning meeting in 1942 for the Manhattan Project, which was how we got the atomic bomb. The rumors haven’t been proven.
Don’t even try to get accepted (although we’re not sure why you would want to). Membership is of the highest exclusivity and everything that goes on there is hush-hush.
