Shirley Temple Was a US Ambassador.
After retiring from the film industry in her early twenties, the world famous child-star decided to branch out. Shirley Temple married a man named Charles Allen Black and moved to Washington D.C. for his career. Once there, she joined the United Nations in 1969. She served as an ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia until 1992. Shirley Temple died of natural causes in 2014.
