Library Of Congress Archived Every Tweet Till 2018.
From Twitter’s inception until Jan. 1, 2018, the Library of Congress archived every tweet that ever existed. At a rate of more than half a billion per day, the Library already had accumulated 170 billion tweets by 2013. But as Twitter users grow exponentially and the length of tweets have doubled from 140 characters to 280 characters, the Library has ended its all-consuming data collection.
