About midway through President Obama’s second term, the United States reached a new milestone. We are currently in our nation’s longest streak without a President either dying by illness or being assassinated while holding office. The previous standard was set from the first days of our country. From when George Washington was sworn in until William Henry Harrison died of pneumonia in 1841 was the previous record.
