9 Black Sabbath
The heavier into the world of rock you get, the heavier the bands sometimes become. So instead of going in the direction of prog or Latin, some bands went this other route. Black Sabbath was among the first of these, introducing things like dissonance into their music. And with this, they ushered in an entirely new genre of rock.
One of their most famous songs, “Paranoid,” went on to influence so many bands that it’s difficult to count them all. But other than that, the band’s influence has spread throughout the world.
