While Ronnie Van Zant and Steve and Cassie Gaines, a few of the band’s original members, tragically lost their lives while flying on a charter plane for an upcoming new national tour, the band’s legacy lives on. Now, they are played on every rock ’n’ roll station worth its weight in salt. And, even if you’re not a fan of salt, you’re still probably into one of this band’s songs.
