33. Red Hot Chili Peppers
One of the more modern bands on this list, the Red Hot Chili Peppers introduced themselves to fame long ago. Having formed in 1983 in the heart of Los Angeles, this is another band to have brought us hits that have transcended generational gaps. Many of these hits are said to have blended the genres of rock with funk.
This is ultimately the result of the harmony between drummer Chad Smith and the band’s bassist — who goes by the charming nickname Flea. In total, the band has amassed something around 80 million record sales. This number will continue to soar as people look for that funky rock sound.
