Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, China
One of the most important discoveries ever made is the Terra-Cotta Warriors at Xi’an. Inside the underground burial complex of the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, lies thousands of one-of-a-kind Chinese warrior statues. The site of the tomb is a major Chinese tourist attractions, but access to the tomb is forbidden.
The tomb is completely sealed and will remain that way for quite a long time. It is believed that the tomb is riddled with booby traps to keep out intruders. The tomb also carries a high concentration of mercury that would be deadly to anyone that entered, unless they took the proper precautions, of course. The only part that the public may see are the 2,000 warriors outside of the tomb. It is said that there are 6,000 more soldiers inside, along with plenty of other incredible treasure.
